What I Collect (and Why)

• When you get in touch: If you use the contact form, I collect your name and email address so I can reply.
• When you buy something: I collect your name, email, shipping address and (sometimes) your child’s name if you ask for a personalised book. Payments are handled securely via Stripe or PayPal – I never see your credit card details.
• Website tracking: Like most websites, I use cookies and a Facebook pixel. These help me understand how people use the site and might be used to show you a relevant ad later on (but only if you’re into that sort of thing).

 

A Quick Note for Kids (and Parents)
Sometimes I get messages from children through my website. That’s awesome – I love hearing from readers! But I always recommend chatting to a parent first before sending any personal details, especially addresses. I also encourage the use of ‘safe’ addresses, like school or work, as it’s a good habit not to give out your address online.

 

How I Use Your Info

• To send you your book, answer your message, or help with your order.
• If you tick the box to join my mailing list at checkout, I’ll use your email to send you monthly jokes and fun updates. You can unsubscribe any time – no hard feelings!

 

Who I Share Info With

I don’t sell or swap your info with anyone. The only exception is:

• If you join my mailing list, your email goes into Mailchimp so I can send you my monthly messages.

 

How I Keep It Safe

Your info is stored securely through my WordPress website, which is regularly updated and password protected.

 

Cookies & Pixels

I use a Facebook pixel and cookies to help me understand what’s working on my site. This helps me improve your experience and occasionally run Facebook ads. You can manage cookies through your browser settings if you prefer not to be tracked.

 

Want Your Info Gone?

I don’t keep your info longer than I need it. If you ever want me to delete or update your details, just get in touch and I’ll take care of it.

 

Other Websites

Sometimes I link to other sites (like Threadless for merch). I can’t control what they do with your data, so please check their privacy policies if you’re concerned.
